TABU

‘TABU is a return and a response. In this exhibition, Tyshan Wright connects his present practice to his beginnings preserving Jamaican Maroon culture through adornment. Working with reclaimed Maroon beads and historical materials, Wright engages in a slow, meditative process, creating works that carry memory, history, and responsibility-each object serving as both a vessel of the past and a gesture toward future possibility.’ (Craft Nova Scotia)
